Our mission is to provide the highest quality healthcare in our region. Every day, we want every patient to experience exceptional care. To help our mission become a reality, our entire organization has adopted the Relationship-Based Care® model. The Relationship-Based Care model has helped us transform our culture to one of caring and healing—and one where the patient and family are the central focus for all that we do.

Unique to our organization is the interdisciplinary approach. While other healthcare organizations primarily use the nursing structure for RBC, Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare has expanded the scope of RBC to include Allied Health Professions and Support Services. This interdisciplinary approach has had many positive outcomes, particularly in our employee satisfaction. In 2004 we were in the 14th percentile for staff satisfaction. In 2009, our staff satisfaction score soared to the 65th percentile.

Our one and half day program, “Engaging the Entire Organization” Program will provide you information that you will be able to take back and get started. Day one includes a description of the Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare’s RBC journey, tools to help you get started, and lessons learned along the way. On day two, you will have the opportunity to meet members from our 76 Unit Practice Councils and sit in on our monthly UPC Check In Meeting.
