Responsible for writing and developing the voice for the organization’s online presence as well as support with publications of the organization.  In addition to writing, editing, proofreading and publishing site content, will work closely with the technical team to maintain existing content and promote site standards with regard to new development. 

The Dietetic Technician serves as a nutrition representative on assigned units and works with the Nutrition Services team to optimize nutritional care/education of the patient’s and their families.  The primary responsibilities include providing and assuring the highest quality of nutritional care to customers at all times.  Direct patient care includes assessing and monitoring the nutritional care of patients and assessing their understanding and compliance of diet education.  The Dietetic Technician is able to serve clients of all age groups.  The Dietetic Technician works proactively with all related departments to optimize nutritional care and to recommend medical nutritional therapy as needed.  Assigns risk levels, conducts low to moderate risk nutrition assessments and prepares nutritional care plans for patients.  The nutrition care plan considers age specific needs, physical or cognitive limitations/barriers, as well as cultural, religious and ethnic concerns.  The Dietetic Technician helps to oversee the diet clerks on a daily basis, as well as help to oversee trayline as the trayline checker and pursues personal development through continuing education programs.

This position will assist in the cooking, assembly and delivery of meals and food products for hospital staff and visitors.  This position will maintain the show/look of the cafeteria and operate the cash register following established cash handling procedures.

The staff registered nurse promotes high quality care for assigned patients according to their developmental needs.  The staff nurse uses the nursing process to provide patient care consistent with acceptable standards of the profession, the Nursing Department and the hospital.

 Performs planning and design activities related to server operating system, system hardware configuration and connectivity issues of the client workstations with respect to these systems.  Performs hardware and software planning and design to ensure coexistence and campatibility of all disparate systems within the MVN information network.  Acts as support person to distribute systems support personnel.  Performs overall project management for various server implementation and systems deployment.  Make recommendations on strategic direction as it relates to distributes systems throughout the MVN information network.

Carries out activities consisting of network and telecommunications, maintenance / support, device configuration and connectivity preparation to the local area networks (LAN’s) and wide area network (WAN).  Carries out activities consisting of systems administration on MS Windows and Unix / Linux platforms and generally, overall systems management across the servers.  Develops systems management documentation and procedures and ensures that these processes are followed and audible.  Performs daily duties such as back-up restore, and monitoring of systems performance across all servers.  Is responsible for collecting statistics and data on performance and utilization for accurate reporting to the Distributed Systems Analyst and Director of Operations.

Monitors and assess concurrently and retrospectively the quality of care delivered by Physicians, Nurses and ancillary staff using specific, approved criteria.  Recognizes potential variances in care and coordinates peer reviews.  Identifies, investigates, and reports to the NYSDOH all events meeting reporting criteria.  Conducts, coordinates and facilitates root cause analysis and failure modes effect analysis.  Assists with abstraction of data and enters data as requested. Analyzes and interprets data and assists physicians, hospital directors, Administration and others in decision-making based on that data.  Maintains a high degree of accuracy, recognizing trends and trackable events and reporting identified information to appropriate leaders.  Functions as team members and supports Performance Improvement activities throughout the organization.

Responsible for 24/7 management of 10 bed observation unit including staffing and fiscal management. Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the coordinating, organizing and planning of the patient movement within the hospital.  Responsible and accountable for providing management of beds for the organization.  The incumbent provides day-to-day reports on bed availability to the clinical and administrative staff.  Monitors bed capacity, staffed beds and the demand for beds daily and communicates action plan for patient movement.  Collects and analyzes data related to patient flow, reports findings and recommendations for improvement.

The Quality Care Consultant RN concurrently assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the needs of patients for care coordination, discharge planning, utilization review and quality review.  Utilizes Utilization Review procedures including those required for discharge planning, in addition of knowledge critical for Medicare, Medicaid coverage, HMO, or private insurers to evaluate the quality of care and need for hospitalization.  The Quality Care Consultant assumes a leadership role in the coordination of discharge planning with the patient/family, healthcare providers, referral agencies and other facilities.  Monitors and concurrently assesses the quality of care delivered by physicians, nurses and ancillary support services staff using specific approved criteria.  Performs concurrent review of medical records to ensure appropriate clinical documentation, quality indicator data (i.e. Core Measures) and other information is present and utilizes computerized tools for data collection.  Functions as a member of the care team supporting patient safety and performance improvement activities throughout the organization.

The Care Attendant provides basic nursing care to patients and monitors a safe and clean environment in order to assist nursing personnel in the routine care of patients and the organization of the nursing unit.  Position requires the ability to care for patients of all ages.  This ability is achieved through knowledge of patient growth and development, an understanding of the range of treatment/care required of patients and the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient’s needs.
