Telecommunications Supervisor
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the operation the Telecommunication’s Department. Performs service and maintenance on telephones and telephone systems including, but not limited to PBX and key Systems. Provides scheduling for a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week switchboard. Performs annual evaluations for Telecommunications staff. Responsible for the control and maintenance of the corporate Cellular Telephone Contract, External pager Contract, internal pagers, and all emergency communications. Work is performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and with the goals and objectives of the Telecommunications Department.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Other formal training or business experience will be considered and at least one year experience in electronics and/or telecommunications related field. Managerial experience preferred. Must possess knowledge pf CAT 3 and Cat 5e cabling and computer skills with knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
