Does The Birthplace offer breastfeeding support to new mothers?
The Birthplace employs two lactation consultants and two RNs who are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) to help expectant and new moms feel comfortable with breastfeeding. All staff at The Birthplace are also trained to help support moms with lactation needs and questions. Moms who deliver at The Birthplace should expect on-going support during their hospital stay, a follow-up phone call when they leave the hospital and another call two weeks later to discuss how things are going.
Free prenatal breastfeeding classes are offered monthly at FSLH. To register, or for any questions about breastfeeding, call (315) 624-6090. The Lactation Consultant and IBCLC RNs are also available for outpatient appointments at the hospital. Anyone with breastfeeding questions or concerns can call FSLH’s Lactation Office at (315) 624-6090.
Does The Birthplace offer other education classes?
