Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare Celebrates National Healthcare Volunteer Week
Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) will recognize the many volunteers who donate their time, energy and talents to the organization during National Healthcare Volunteer Week from April 15 – April 21, 2012. This week recognizes those that give their time and encourages others to start helping within their communities.
In 2011, FSLH’s volunteers contributed nearly 60,000 hours of service to our patients, residents and families. FSLH volunteers help add to our patients’ comfort, care and happiness. Good care involves a full range of social, emotional, spiritual and physical considerations, which is why volunteers are such an essential part of the healing team.
During this special week, volunteers will be offered a discount in the hospital gift shops and there will be gifts and daily giveaways. Volunteers who have reached milestones in their hours of service will be recognized at an annual recognition event in May.
For more information about volunteer opportunities at FSLH, please call Sue Warwick, director of Volunteer Services and Guest Relations, at (315) 624-6052.
