On Monday, June 25, Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) will host an evening blood drive from 2pm to 7pm at the St. Luke’s Campus, 1656 Champlin Avenue, Utica. The traveling donor center will be located at the Allen Calder Main Entrance with access from Parking Lot H.
“We’ve added evening hours to allow more donors the chance to give blood at a time that is convenient for them,” said Jerry Plows, the event coordinator. “Donating blood is a great way to help save a life.”
More than 38,000 blood donations are needed each day in the United States, but only 38 percent of the population is eligible to donate. Just one donor can help save or sustain up to three lives.
