T’ai Chi Chih Class Begins Tuesday, Oct. 29
The Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) Wellness Center is offering T’ai Chi Chih classes beginning on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Classes are held in eight week sessions on Tuesdays from 4:30pm to 6pm in the Community Room at the Center for Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Services, located on the St. Luke’s Campus of FSLH, at 1650 Champlin Avenue, Utica. Each eight week session costs $60 when prepaid or $10 per class. The class is open to the public.
T’ai Chi Chih is a set of 19 movements and one pose focused on the development of intrinsic energy known as Chi. Through these movements, one can achieve many health benefits including reduced stress, increased energy and improved flexibility, balance and muscle definition.
New York State Continuing Education Units are available to physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants who complete a post-course evaluation.
