On Thursday, November 14, 2013, the Central New York Diabetes Education Program (CNY Diabetes) will host a free community diabetes education program featuring Southern Celebrity Chef Rory Schepisi. Vendors with tips for healthy living will display beginning at 5:30pm with the program starting at 6:30pm. The event will be held at Hart’s Hill Inn, 135 Clinton Street, Whitesboro, New York.  

“Southern Yankee” celebrity chef and restaurateur Rory Schepisi, best known as a finalist on “The Next Food Network Star,” will join a Novo Nordisk diabetes educator to provide healthy cooking demonstrations and an educational workshop. During the presentation, Chef Rory will demonstrate how to make low-carb, full-flavor dishes and share her favorite healthy recipes. The diabetes educator will discuss diabetes 101 basics and tips for staying healthy. A small sampling of Chef Rory’s recipes will be served at the event.
