Stroke Support Group Meeting - Wednesday, November 13

On Wednesday, November 13, 2013, Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) will host a free stroke support group presentation at 6pm in the Soggs Room at St. Luke’s Home in the Center for Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Services, 1650 Champlin Avenue, Utica.

Sue Spina, LCSW-R, director of Social Work/Transitional Care at FSLH, will discuss depression and stroke, and how to cope with these feelings during the holiday season.

Spina previously held the position of director of Social Work for St. Luke’s Home and was a professional healthcare representative and a long-term care representative for Pfizer, Inc. She also held the positions of long-term care representative and private mental health practitioner/licensed clinical social worker for New Hartford Psychiatric Services in New Hartford, New York.

Spina received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, New York, and her master’s degree in Social Work from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.
