On Tuesday, July 1, 2014, a Mary Kay Unit that includes nursing staff from St. Elizabeth Medical Center, presented a donation worth $400 to The Regional Cancer Center at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH). This generous donation included a microwave, toaster, wall art and puzzles to benefit local patients.
The Unit raffled off two bracelets this year to raise money to purchase these items for the Cancer Center. In the true spirit of continuing the “Legacy of Love” that the Mary Kay Foundation has built since 1996, the members of the Unit are committed to giving back to others in the community.
“We are extremely grateful to this Mary Kay Unit for making this donation to our Cancer Center,” said Nancy Borden, MBA, RT (T), executive director of The Regional Cancer Center. “Our patients and their families will benefit greatly from the generosity of these women.”
